Challenge
Russell & Atwell didn't make a better chocolate — they built a new category. Fresh chocolate: organic double cream instead of palm oil, living in the fridge rather than on a shelf. The difficulty is that freshness is invisible. In a crowded feed a pouch is just a pouch, and the sensation that actually sets the product apart — cold, rich, melt-in-the-mouth — can be felt but not read. The brand needed a motion language that makes fresh tangible inside fifteen seconds, without loosening a single pixel of the packaging that carries its identity.
Solution
We built the film on the brand's founding truth — fresh tastes best — and let the ingredients tell it. A cracking hazelnut, a fold of double cream, a thread of wildflower honey and a pinch of sea salt build into a chocolate swirl that forms the truffles themselves, before the film cools into a frost-laced, fridge-cold pack reveal. A two-act colour script — warm buttermilk cream into deep espresso cocoa — was engineered as a stage for the pouch, keeping it the only source of brand colour in frame so it detonates on arrival. Beat-synced cuts and tactile macro texture carry the brand's premium-but-playful energy; packaging fidelity was treated as non-negotiable throughout. The language then scaled into a campaign system: a three-flavour hero lineup across banner and key-visual formats, built on the same colour logic.
